Why Take Pinterest Courses?

Pinterest can be a fantastic way to drive traffic to your website. Pinterest stands out because it is not another social media site. It’s an image search engine, like how YouTube is a video search engine.

As a result, the images and links you save to Pinterest have a much longer shelf-life than posts you make on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.

Your content can be shown to people continually, sending readers and customers to your blog for years.

Fun Fact: I actually have a pin from 2017 that still sends me page views from time to time! The longevity of Pinterest content makes this an appealing platform for bloggers, small business owners, and online creators alike.

But it can be overwhelming to learn how to use Pinterest strategically when you’re first starting out. That’s where Pinterest courses come in!

In a good Pinterest course, you’ll discover the exact steps other people have taken to have success on the platform. Some of the course creators below make six-figure incomes off their blogs, with much of that traffic coming from Pinterest, so there’s a lot to be learned!

I already get some traffic from Pinterest, do I need a Pinterest course?

Pinterest is always changing. Things that worked a few years ago might not cut it today, and it can be helpful to see what strategies are effective for other bloggers right now.

Simply put, even if you’re already getting traffic from the platform, I think it can be very helpful to take a Pinterest course to make sure you’re following the latest best practices and techniques.

Choosing The Best Pinterest Courses For You

Not every Pinterest course is right for every creator. What others consider to be the best Pinterest course for bloggers might be different from what you’re looking for.

Creators will likely have different needs depending on their familiarity with Pinterest and their business objectives. When choosing the best Pinterest course for you, consider the following:

Course Level

Carefully read about what is offered in the course to make sure it is at an appropriate level for you. If you’ve already been using Pinterest for a while, a course that focuses on basic account setup might be too beginner.

Likewise, if you’re brand new to Pinterest, a deep-dive advanced course might be too overwhelming. Stick to a beginner course for now and save the advanced Pinterest marketing courses for the future.

Instructor Success

Before taking any online course, make sure the instructor knows their stuff. It’s always a good idea to check out your course instructors’ Pinterest accounts and blogs to make sure their pages are in line with what you hope to achieve.

Bonuses

Some of these courses come with appealing bonuses like pin design templates, free trials of Tailwind, and collaborative Facebook groups. Features like this can definitely add value!

If you know you excel with group support and accountability, consider a course with a private Facebook group or even monthly group calls. Several of the programs below have a virtual collaboration component which can be nice for bloggers who want more direct feedback.

Price

The prices below range from around $50 to over $1000. If you’re just starting out, a lower ticket course is a great place to start to see if you and Pinterest mesh. If you’re a more advanced user and seek more specialized Pinterest training, a higher investment course could have the strategies you need.

I’ve also included some free Pinterest courses you can take to get some foundational knowledge. Keep in mind that these free training courses are great for setting up your account and learning the basics, but they usually won’t give you many advanced techniques to use Pinterest strategically.

Pintersting Strategies 2.0

Pinteresting Strategies 2.0

In Pinteresting Strategies, you’ll learn exactly how to use course creator Carly’s manual pinning strategy and send massive amounts of traffic to your blog or business.

Pinteresting Strategies is unique because it focuses on manual pinning – no pin schedulers required! You’ll also learn exactly how Pinterest works and how to set up your account the optimal way, whether you’re starting from scratch or updating an existing account.

Pinteresting Strategies is a great option for bloggers or creators on a budget because it is available at a lower price point than some of the other courses on this list. And because it focuses on manual pinning, you won’t need to pay for an additional scheduling tool.

I really liked how Pinteresting Strategies broke down Pinterest user intent and SEO in a way I hadn’t heard before. The main highlight of the course is learning Carly’s signature manual pinning technique, complete with a deep understanding of how and why it works.

I also love how this Pinterest course covers the latest Pinterest news and algorithm updates for life.

While you can definitely take this course as a beginner (Carly covers some beginner setup information in the early modules), I think this course is best for more experienced pinners who want to revamp their account with a new strategy.

I enrolled in the course after feeling like my Pinterest presence was plateauing, aka I was throwing a lot of spaghetti at the wall and wondering when the tidal wave of traffic would arrive. Pinterest was working to a degree, but I felt like I could still be getting better results.

The manual pinning methods in the course are totally unique and the course gave me a better understanding of how Pinterest actually works so I could use it to my advantage. I’ve had several lightbulb moments, even as an experienced pinner, and I definitely feel like I have a clear Pinterest strategy in place.

*Carly recently updated this course into Pinteresting Strategies 2.0. The new version comes with the original Pinteresting Strategies manual pinning course, as well as 15 pin templates and the following advanced training courses: Pin Title Traffic Hacks, Pin Design Rules to Break, and Pinterest Niche Site Deep Dive.

  • Highlights: Learn a totally unique manual pinning strategy that thousands swear by! Comes with the classic Pinteresting Strategies course as well as pin templates and additional advanced training programs.

  1. Hi Nic!

I wish I had come across this post sooner because it took me weeks to decide on which Pinterest course to take. I ended up going with TLS Unlimited, have you heard of it? I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m really liking it so far. I would say it’s intermediate level although they start with a couple of basics first. I chose this one because they mentioned on the webinar that they kept it updated which, with Pinterest, is kind of important.
I’m hoping I’ll be able to get a fresh start with this course because, if not, I don’t know what I’ll do. I’m tired of working this hard and never know what to expect.

    So, anyways, thanks!

I totally agree, Pinterest is always changing so having updates is super important. Wishing you all the best and happy Pinning 🙂
